Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, January 17, 2013 >> Cynthia Ann Brookman << >> June 6, 1921 — Jan. 11, 2013 << Ann passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior Jan. 11, at Sun Haven South Assisted Living in Lake Havasu City, with her loving daughter, Evelyn, and caring staff at her side. She was born in Setauket, Long Island, N.Y., to Archie E. Jones and Cynthia Randall Jones. In 1940, she married Sherwood Brookman and they settled in Bel Air, Md., where they raised five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherwood; her daughter, Sherron Cummings; and son, Robert Brookman. Ann is survived by her daughters, Evelyn (David) Vedder, Bonnie (Herb) Sutton; son, Thomas (Toni) Brookman; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Ann and Sherwood moved to Lake Havasu City from Maryland in 1993 and were members of Calvary Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and revered as a wonderful mother and Nana. She will be missed every day and loved always. Arrangements are under the care of Dimond & Sons Mortuary and Crematorium in Bullhead City, AZ. The family is ever indebted to Sun Haven Assisted Living for their loving care for the past three years.
