Larry Clifford (Wickenkamp) Reed died Dec. 12, 2012, at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. He was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Elwood, Neb.

Larry served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years as a boiler technician chief. He truly loved serving in the Navy and his heart was always there, even after retirement. He retired to the White Mountains in Snowflake, where enjoyed fishing and camping every chance he got.

Larry is survived by his wife, Ampelia Reed, of Snowflake; brother Gary Reed (Sherry) of Texas; niece Kellye and her daughter Sara of Texas; uncle Paul; aunt La Villa; cousins: Shirley and Eileen and many friends and family members.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Church of Christ on 1401 Snowflake Blvd (Concho Hwy). The U.S. Naval Honor Guard will be present to honor Larry for his many years of service to his country.
