CHASE, Helen Rose

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 17, 2013 Helen Rose Chase, 94, of Cottonwood, Ariz., passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. She was born Feb. 9, 1918, in Muscatine, Iowa, to the late John and Clara Heerd. She loved gardening both flowers and vegetables. She also loved reading, especial the Guide Post, Angels on Earth, and Farm and Ranch Living Magazine. She was a wonderful wife and mother, the best that anyone could ask for. She took great care of her husband, Andrew D. Chase, who was injured in his service as a specialist 4 in the U.S. Army during WWII until his passing in 1982. She is survived by her children, John Edward McCormack, Richard Allen McCormack and Linda Kay McCormack; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Allen, and her sister, Dorothy. Information provided by survivors.
