Letizia Carrillo Melendez, 30, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away April 7, 2004 in Tempe. Ms. Melendez, an assistant childcare director at the South Mountain Y.M.C.A., was born in Tucson. Survivors include her husband, Sam; children, Edith, Alicia, Soleil and Cesario; her father, Reynaldo (Mabel) Carrillo; mother, Francisca Robles; paternal grandmother, Edith Torres and brothers, Louis and Logan Carrillo. Funeral services Monday, April 12, 2004 with visitation one hour prior to service at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave., Tempe. Interment at South Lawn Cemetery, Tucson, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic on 4/11/2004.
