KEASEY, George Arthur


George Arthur Keasey, beloved father and friend, passed away April 8, 2004 at the age of 90. Art, as he was often called, was born October 21, 1913 in Blackfoot, Idaho. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in France during WWII. After nearly 40 years as an owner/operator of rides, games and food concessions, he retired from the carnival and amusement business. Bored with retirement, he returned to part time work with the Arizona Republic for five years until retiring again in 2001. He was a life-long member of the American Legion, Elks, and Arizona Showman's Assn. Art loved fishing, hooking rugs, reading, spending time in Las Vegas and visiting with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Lucille Keasey and is survived by his son, Robert Keasey and daughter, Patricia Keasey. Memorial services Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic on 4/11/2004.
