SIEMERS, Glenn Marvin (Marv)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, January 19, 2013 Glenn Marvin Siemers passed away Jan. 17, 2013, after a short illness. Marv was born in Streator, Ill., on Aug. 26, 1942. He and his parents, Glenn and Jean Siemers, moved to Palo Alto, Calif., in 1951. Upon graduation from high school, Marv enlisted in the army and was assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas, during the Cuban crisis and Vietnam era. He and his wife Nancy established their business, Semiconductor Materials & Services, in 1992 in Sunnyvale, Calif., and relocated the business to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1993. Upon retirement in 2003, they moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz., where Marv enjoyed his favorite hobbies, golf and robust conversations on many topics. Marv is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Seiler Siemers; a sister, Janis McCarroll of Orangevale, Calif.; and a brother, Kenneth Siemers, of Sunnyvale. Sunrise Funeral Home & Crematory, Prescott Valley, is providing the cremation and arrangements for final burial at Prescott National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Information provided by survivors.
