Wier TUCSON Services for Gary Wier, 30, 3857 Hampton St. who died in a plane crash last week, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Palms Mortuary 5225 E. Speedway. Burial will follow in Tucson Memorial Park. Mr. Wier, who had ranked sixth among drivers in the Manzanita Speedway sprint car standing before the crash, was born in Michigan, Ill. Four other Arizona auto racing personalities had been en route to Denver for a race when the crash occurred. Survivors include his wife, Nola; and two daughters, Lori and Stacey, all of Tucson: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Wier, and his maternal grandmother, all of Fountain Hills, Calif.; and three sisters out of state. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. ~~~~~~ Note: Gary was born May 21, 1941 and died July 1971.
