William Roy Duvall, 86, of Prescott, Ariz., born April 3, 1926, in Phoenix, Ariz., passed away Jan. 19, 2013.

William "Bill" Duvall passed away suddenly at his home in Prescott, Ariz., on Jan. 19, 2013. Bill was born April 3, 1926, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Roy and Ruby (Dikes) Duvall.
Bill grew up in Whittier, Calif., and graduated from Whittier High School. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Fanshaw Bay CVE70. After the war, he worked for General Telephone in California, retiring in 1987 after 36 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed his woodworking projects and loved watching sports even when his teams weren't doing well, especially his beloved AZ Sundogs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished those moments.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Sandy of nearly 26 years; his sons, Mike (Lynn), Bill Jr. (Karen), Dustin (Elizabeth) and Michael; daughters Cheri (Frank), Cher (Steve) and Michelle (Chad); grandchildren Chris, Jill, Moriah, Kelly, Somer, Stephen, Brennen, Daniel and Mikayla; and great-grandchildren, Colin and Maddie.
A funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott, followed by a luncheon.
The family suggests memorials to VA Volunteering Services, 500 Highway 89 N, Prescott, AZ 86313; memo on check in memory of William Duvall.
