Billie Clyde Holcomb, 74, of Page, Arizona, passed away on January 15, 2013 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.
Bill was born to the late Dick and Isabelle Holcomb on August 13, 1938 in Memphis, Texas. He was the second of three children. He spent most of his younger life in South San Gabriel, California where at the age of 16, a lifelong passion for motorcycle racing began. For several years, he traveled the country as a proud representative of the Harley Davidson Factory race team. After graduating from Rose Mead High School in 1956, Bill married Janet McClintock on July 11, 1959 in Riverside, California.
In 1972, Bill relocated to Page, Arizona with his wife and two children where he partnered with Larry Miller in opening B&L Automotive. He greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and family on Lake Powell and also found a love for golf. He had a strong belief in family and strengthened those ties with countless family outings which included skiing, camping, and attendance to a variety of racing events. Bill is remembered as a loving and supportive husband, brother, friend, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Holcomb of Page, AZ; sister, Jackie Adams of Coupeville, WA; daughter, Paula (Rich) Leightner of Page, AZ; son, Michael (Kendra) Holcomb of Page, AZ; and grandchildren (Kaileigh, Wyatt (Roxanne), Drew and Daylee)
Bill touched our lives with his stories and will forever fill our hearts with pride.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, 11:00am at the Faith Bible Chapel.
