Our beloved father, Joseph Jean Guy Ouellette (Guy J. Ouellette), was born June 4, 1946 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Gustave E. Ouellette and Jacqueline T. Guindon; his beloved parents.
They moved from Canada to Monkton, Vermont, when he was a small boy. In Vermont, he met, fell in love, and married our beloved mother, Sheryl A. Shepard on Nov. 19, 1966. They resided in Charlotte, Vermont, during their almost 30 years of marriage and raised six children together.
He is survived by John Joseph, Lynn Marie, Audra Jean, Samuel Peter, Melena Anne, Naomi Ruth and 13 grandchildren.
In the summer of 2005, Guy moved from Charlotte, Vermont, to Wickenburg.
He worked for the Wickenburg Unified School District No. 9 as a school bus driver for more than three years. He truly loved the Lord, going to church, reading his Bible, and listening to tapes of the Gospel. He also loved the outdoors; hiking, scenic drives, fishing, and spending time with his family.
After fighting a long battle with illness, he went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Prior to his passing away, he reminded us of 2 Corinthians 5:7-8: “For we walk by faith, not by sight … to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
You are now in the presence of God and all His Glory. We love you, Dad. We will see you and Mom soon.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are handled by David’s Desert Chapel in Wickenburg.
