Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Friday, January 25, 2013 - Ronald "Old Man" Rittel, 62, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Jan. 18, 2013 at the Polidori House-Hospice of Havasu. Ronald Dean Rittel was born May 8, 1950 to Herbert and Loretta (Brenner) Rittel at Sioux Falls, S.D. After high school he received a BS as a Geo-Physicist and worked in the oil industry. He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Ron raised his family in Laughlin, Nev., before coming to Lake Havasu City in 2001. Ron is survived by his mother, Loretta Rittel, of Lake Havasu City; two sons, Jacob Rittel, of Lake Havasu City and Mitch Bissom, of Tucson. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert. A private family service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel Sunday, Jan. 27, at 12:30 p.m. Condolences can be sent to www.lakehavasumortuary.com.
