William "Bill" Spoonemore, 75, Lake Havasu City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at The Polidori House.
William Taylor "Bill" Spoonemore was born on March 20, 1937 to Frank and Jessie (Crimmin) Spoonemore in Montebello, Calif. Bill was raised in Southern California, graduated from high school, and as a young man he served six years in the US Army. He worked for Con Rock ten years, then Alpha Beta for twenty four years. He was active in the Elks for thirty years, and was active in the American Legion, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and London Bridge Yacht Club. His interests included aviation, traveling, boating and golfing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara of forty four years.
Bill is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jack) Hasbrouck, Reserve, N.M. and Patty (Bob) Smith, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; his best friend, Mary Comella, Lake Havasu City; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirley Johnson.
A memorial service will be Friday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m. at Lake Havasu Mortuary with military honors by The Marine Corps League. Bill will be interred at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, Boulder, Nev. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to The Polidori House-Hospice of Havasu.
