Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Friday, January 25, 2013 Sylvia Robertson, 65, of Flagstaff, died Jan. 18, 2013. She was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Orange, Calif. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., at Grace Fellowship Church, 520 N. Switzer Canyon Drive. Arrangements are under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary. ~~~~~~~~~ Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Sylvia Robertson (February 26, 1947 - January 18, 2013) Sylvia Robertson, 65, of Flagstaff passed away January 18, 2013. She was born February 26, 1947 in Orange, California to Alfonso Mendoza and Helen Alonzo Clowes. Sylvia lived her entire life, as a true child of God. Everything she did was guided by her unwavering belief in Jesus and the Bible. She met her life partner, best friend and future husband Rob, on the very first day of college, and two years later, they started a 43 year beautiful marriage. The early years were in southern California, where they had both grown up. Sylvia and Rob were very involved in the youth ministry until, they moved on to adventures in Washington State, Oregon, Texas before settling in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1998. Everywhere that Sylvia and Rob lived; they were always active members of a local church. Grace Fellowship Church is where Sylvia and Rob called home in Flagstaff. Sylvia made lifelong friends at every stop along her journey. She made a positive impact on so many people that came in and out of her life. The saying “To know her, was to love her” could not be more fitting, than for Sylvia Robertson. She is survived by husband Rob, Brother Bruce, Sisters Donna, her husband Jerry, Denise, her husband Wayne and step-mother Doris, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends. Sylvia is now with her God, but she will be missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 2PM at Grace Fellowship church.
