KIMMINS, Jim


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Friday, January 25, 2013 Jim Kimmins went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013. He had been ill for several years with end stage Renal disease. Jim was born on July 16, 1946 to career army West Virginians, Rita O’Connor Kimmins and Warden “Kim” Kimmins. He grew up in Northern VA, MD, TX, KS, NM and Germany. Jim’s favorite place to live was New Mexico. Jim spent 20 years in the Army 1968-1988. For most of his Army career he was assigned to a topographical engineer unit and a recruiter. He retired in Flagstaff and worked for McCoy Motors, Babbitt Ford and the Daily Sun. Jim enjoyed many hobbies including golf, bowling, flying, photography and singing in the church choir. He is survived by his ex-wife, Judy Roseanne, sons; Aaron and Matt and daughter; Julie. He had 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and 7 brothers and sisters. A funeral mass was held for him at St. Luke’s Church of Phoenix on January 15th. Any donations may be made to the Coconino Humane Society or the Kidney Foundation.
