MACIAS, Isaura (Chawa)

West Resthaven Funeral Home, Glendale, Arizona Isaura M. Macias March 11, 1918 - January 14, 2013 MACIAS, Isaura "Chawa", 94 of Glendale, passed away on January 14, 2013. She was born in Glendale, AZ in 1918 to Francisco Martinez and Rosa Maldonado Leon Martinez. She was the youngest of eleven children and last survivor. She was predecded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Macias and daughter, Betty J. Macias. She lived the majority of her life in Glendale raising her family and loving everyone. Her true passions in life were listening and dancing to Mexican music and gardening her flowers and plants. In her later years, her favorite past time was watching John Wayne and Gene Autrey movies. She is survived by sons: Tom (Laura), Joe (Rosemary), Gilbert (Esther), and Angel (Bernice); daughters, Virginia Flores, Jessie (Frank) Cerrone, Christina (Ernie) Pacheco, Shirley Macias, Diana (Bud) Abel and Sandra (Jorge) Ledesma. She had 32 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, a total of 92. Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 19, 2012, at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ.
