Jose V. Martinez passed away on Friday January 25, 2013 at Santa Rosa Care Ctr. in Tucson, Arizona.
He was born in Hayden, Az. on March 6, 1927 in Hayden, Az.. to Epimeniro Martinez Sr. and Josefa B. Ramirez.
Jose proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a military policeman stationed at Ft. McKinley, Manila, Philippine Islands. Upon his return home he worked as a Boiler-maker at ASARCO for 38 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his father Epimenio Martinez Sr. his Mother Josefa B. Ramirez and Step-father Antonio Ramirez Sr. His brothers, Manuel Martinez Sr. Epimenio Martinez Jr., Victor B. Ramirez and Antonio Ramirez Jr.
He is survived by sister Jesusita (Feliberto) Vega, and Uncle Ynez (Gloria) Lopez. His Nieces Josie Vega, Angelina Vega, Stephanie Vega, Mary Frances (Juan) Bracamonte, Anna (Joe) Quesada and May Martinez. His nephews, Feliberto "Son" Vega Jr., Charles "Chale" Vega, Benjamin Vega, Manuel "Lito" Martinez, Andy (Lupe) Martinez, Gilbert (Nancy) Martinez, Jon (Carrie) Martinez and many great nieces and nephews as well as great-great niece and nephews.
Interment will be Saturday February 2, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden, Arizona
