Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Rebecca Ann Watahomigie (March 12, 1952 - January 29, 2013) Rebecca Ann Watahomigie, 60, of Grand Canyon, AZ, joined her beloved daughter MistyBlue Josephine in the spirit world on Tuesday evening, January 29, 2013. She was born on March 12, 1952 in Arizona. Rebecca was a lifelong resident of the Grand Canyon Village. She graduated from Grand Canyon High School in 1970, and worked for Xanterra-Fred Harvey at the Grand Canyon for over 38 years. An avid sports fan and enthusiastic world traveler, she enjoyed camping trips with her nieces, and visiting with relatives on the Havasupai Reservation. Rebecca especially enjoyed being a mother; her heart was broken when her only daughter left this world in 2007. Rebecca is survived by her brother Victor (Rose); sister Anna; nieces: Diana, Shana, Iris (Spencer); nephew: Nathaniel (Ginny); and great nieces: Cree Brothers-Watahomigie, Kynzie Watahomigie, Ciara Watahomigie-Tayah, and Cheyenne Watahomigie-Peterson. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Josephine, nephew Victor Jr., and her beautiful daughter MistyBlue Josephine. A traditional Havasupai wake will held 6pm, Saturday February 2, 2013; at the Community Building, Grand Canyon, AZ.
