Ms. Anna Mae Kollar, (67), passed away on April 8th, 2004.
She was born in Allentown, PA, on April 26, 1936, to Alvin and Mayme Zwickl and has lived in Phoenix since 1963.
Anna Mae was active throughout her life serving as the President of the Honeywell Bull Hikers Club for 3 years, volunteering with Cub Scouts of Pack 221 with grandsons Joshua and Matthew, the Orpheum Theatre, the Phoenix Symphony, Antiques Roadshow, and was a member of the Heard Museum. She was a former employee of G.E., Honeywell, Bull, Department of Economic Security, Deer Valley Unified School District, and most recently the Department of Public Safety.
Anna Mae is survived by her loving companion Douglas Cardoza; two sons Jeffrey (wife Melanie) Kollar and David (wife Holly) Kollar; grandchildren Scott (wife Sharon) Quain-Kollar, Devyn Larson, Shawna Quain, David Larson, Joshua Kollar, and Matthew Kollar; great grandson Andrew Peterson-Canada; brothers William Zwickl of East Greenville PA and Tom Zwickl of Kentucky; former husband and friend George Kollar of Phoenix, and other family members in Arizona, Wyoming and Pennsylvania.
Anna Mae was passionate about Arizona and exploring the great outdoors. She was a creative and giving person that truly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Memorial services celebrating her life were held Friday, April 16, 2004, at First United Methodist Church, 5510 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85012. 602-263-5013
