Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 - James Carlin, 84, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Jan. 22, 2013. James Francis Carlin was born May 18, 1928, to Joseph and Alma (Yarter) Carlin in Monrovia, Calif. James was a career military man of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years as a flight engineer and Master Sergeant. He was an active member of the Moose and Elks lodges, and a lifelong Cowboys fan. James will be remembered as a caring and loving husband and father. He is survived by sons, Mark Carlin, Sacramento, Calif., Jay (Jennifer) Ricks, Lakeside, Calif.; daughter, Tonya (Ronald) Schauer, Bonanza, Ore.; grandchildren, Kristi, Zach, Kelly, Andrea, Leila, Josh, Casey, Troy and Cory and great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Zayne. James was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Kelly; son, Michael; brothers, Joe and Pat; and his sister Jetta.
