Rosemarie Taffs, 84, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Jan. 22, 2013 at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nev. after a brief illness. She was born to Peter and Thelezia Alix Jan. 16, 1929, in Chicago, Ill. Rosemarie married David Taffs on Sept. 2, 1950, and moved to Pleasant Prairie, Wis., in 1953.
Rosemarie spent much of her career as the data processing supervisor at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center in Kenosha, Wis. She came out of retirement to be the secretary at Christian Life High School in Kenosha. She and David also enjoyed their volunteer work at a home for disabled children.
Rosemarie loved to sing and dance, having entertained with the USO at a young age. She sang in the choir for many years at Kenosha First Assembly, and made many lifelong friends whom she continued to visit yearly.
In recent years, Rosemarie made her home in Lake Havasu City. She loved going out for dinner and enjoying various musical and dramatic performances, especially when friends and family appeared on the program. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband, David Taffs; and siblings, Lionel Alix, Paul Alix and Audrey Taffs.
She is survived by children, Carole (James) Hass, Deborah (Gary) Little, Jeanne (Patrick) Weidner and David (Lori) Taffs; grandchildren, Amy (Ben) Grimsley, Adam (Nicki) Hass, Terri (Tom) Fischer, Julie (Brandon) Garnaas, Daniel Weidner, Sara Little, Emma Little and Derek Laux; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cavalry Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City. Interment will take place in the spring in Union Grove, Wis.
