Bertha M. Gonzalez went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, with her family by her side, at St. Rose De Lima Catholic Hospital in Henderson, Nev.
She was born in Brownsville, Texas, on Dec. 25, 1933, and lived and attended school in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Maria Galvan Espinoza; and a brother, Frank, and sister, Dora Espinoza. She is survived by a younger sister, Rosario Espinoza Cano of Brownsville and by numerous extended family members in Brownsville and Port Isabel, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Henry Gonzalez Jr.; and her beloved children, Henry and Jodi Gonzalez III, James and Tammy Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez and Alexis of Tucson, Ariz., Victor Gonzalez and Marina, John A. Gonzalez and Emily. Bertha was also blessed with five beautiful grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Henry Gonzalez IV and Gabriel Crucifixio Gonzalez, James Jr. and Isabella Gonzalez and Donovan Westner Gonzalez of Kingman.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 302 E. Spring St., Kingman.
Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert Stoeckig at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City, Nev.
Honorary pallbearers are: sons, Victor Gonzalez and John A. Gonzales; and grandsons, Henry Gonzalez IV, Gabriel Crucifixio Gonzalez, James Gonzalez Jr. and Donovan Westner Gonzalez. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kingman Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, Kingman, or to your choice of charitable organizations (henryj3300@hotmail.com).
