Virginia "Ginny" J. Belt, age 84, a 48-year resident of Needles, Calif. passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at her home in Willits, Calif.

Ginny was born in Adelanto, Calif. on February 16, 1928. 

Ginny and her husband, Bob, who passed away in 2003, were residents of Needles from 1952 until the spring of 2000 when they moved to Willits, Calif. 

Mrs. Belt was a teacher who started her career at the one-room school house in Oatman, Ariz. and later worked at Needles Unified School District, until she retired in 1985.

Ginny is survived by two daughters, Brenda Yee, and Bonnie Belt; son, Thomas Belt, Sr.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 

A private ceremony will be held in the summer of 2013. .
