BAILEY, William L.

William L. Bailey, 78, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away April 9th, 2004. Bill was born May 8th, 1925 in Dublin, Ireland to Percy and Eileen Bailey. After graduation from Trinity College he moved to Canada where he met his 1st wife and started a family. He came to the U.S. in 1958 and moved to AZ in 1972. Bill was a retired engineer from Motorola, but he never retired from his love of science and technology. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline, son Robert, daughters Barbara Wheeler, Heather Sirota, step-sons John and Richard and 3 grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 17th, at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Over the years many people sang the old song to him, but when God sang "Won't you come home Bill Bailey?" Bill complied. Published in the Arizona Republic from 4/14/2004 - 4/16/2004.
