The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Monday, February 04, 2013 Wesley Bernard Kannenberg Wes was born Feb. 6, 1965 in West Allis, Wis. and passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack on Jan. 30, 2013, in Prescott, Ariz. Wes moved to Arizona with his family when he was 7 years old. He graduated from Mesa High School. He followed the family in moving to Flagstaff in 1990 and worked there in various capacities and for different companies, and most recently worked at Kit Carson campground until his move to Chino Valley in 2010 where he lived with his parents Bernie and Trudy. He was working for Ruger at the time of his death. Family connections were most important to Wes, and he was always ready with a smile and a generous hand. He had a great reputation as a hard worker and would do anything asked of him. He loved old cars and GI Joes. His hobbies included collecting sea shells, stamps and Kiss memorabilia. On April 12, 2010, Wes joined a group of men from Grace Baptist Church in what became the greatest venture of his life as the team went to Honduras and helped to build a church. He never tired of talking about that trip. Surviving family and friends will miss him greatly.
