Floyd Stiles, 88, a lifetime resident of the Globe-Miami area, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Florence Junction, Ariz. to Sydney and Mattie Stiles, Floyd was the youngest of four children.
Floyd attended the following area schools: Oak Street Elementary School, George Washington School and Miami High School.
It was April of 1943 when he married the love of his life and that love remained solid for 64 years until Bernice left to be in God’s heaven.
Floyd worked 40 years with ADOT, previously known as the Arizona State Highway Department, retiring as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor in 1983.
Floyd had several passions, however, his first and foremost was the devotion for his family. He enjoyed working outside creating his own images of art with welding western images out of horseshoes, helping his wife with her beloved horses and spending time landscaping his yard.
Floyd’s legacy is his three children, Carolyn Nolan (Jack), Gary (Lina) and Jimmy (Terri), seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lamont's Mortuary in Globe, Ariz. Graveside services and Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa, Ariz. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lamont Mortuary
