VICKERY, Preston L.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, February 06, 2013 Preston L. Vickery, 59, passed away at his home after a long illness on Jan. 4, 2013, with his wife by his side. Preston graduated from Aransas Pass High School, Aransas Pass, Texas. He was a professional gold prospector for more than 25 years. He worked briefly for Arizona Pioneers Home in Prescott, Ariz., where he met his soon-to-be wife. They were later married at the Pioneers Home with all the residents and friends present. Preston worked at Home Depot in Prescott for more 10 years. He always had a kind word to say and people loved him, and he in return loved everyone. He would help anyone and was always so full of vitality and happy all the time. He loved life, his family, friends and his precious dogs, Freckles and Rocky. A memorial service will take place in the spring, at a date and time to be announced. Information provided by survivors.
