MORENO, Robert (Bob)


The Eastern Arizona Courier, Safford, AZ Wednesday, January 30, 2013 Robert Moreno was born Oct. 22, 1939, to Guadalupe and Rafaela Moreno in Tulare, Calif. He went to be with his Lord and Savior the evening of Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. His final days were spent with his family and loving girlfriend of 30 years surrounding him. Bob touched the lives of many throughout his lifetime. Although his life was cut short, he was able to live it to the fullest. Bob served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed attending car shows. He loved all sports, including hunting, fishing, traveling and many trips to the Black River, where he enjoyed time with his family and friends. Although his body began to give up to the cancer, his fighting spirit led on to his living a few more days before he could peacefully ascend to heaven. Bob is survived by: his loving girlfriend of 30 years, Charlotte Ann Winans; his “adopted son,” Shad Andrew Winans; his goddaughter, Tisi Stewart; a sister, Ally Stewart; four brothers, Lupe, Ernie (Clara), Ray (Frances) and Ronnie (Connie); and numerous special nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bob’s life will be conducted Saturday morning, Feb. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Valley. Online condolences may be offered at viningfuneralhome.com.
