West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, February 08, 2013 Connie Coe, 90, of Litchfield Park died Feb. 5, 2013. Mrs. Coe was born March 20, 1922, in San Francisco to Charles and Mabel Woolley. She was a resident of the West Valley for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Coe. She is survived by one son, Chuck Coe; two daughters, Stephanie Richmond and Christina Thompson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church at Litchfield Park, 300 N. Old Litchfield Road in Litchfield Park. Born on March 20, 1922, in San Francisco, she was the only child of Charles and Mabel Woolley. In 1942 she married her high school sweetheart, Jim Coe, a career Navy chief, and together they raised three children. In 1950, they moved to the Westside and lived first in Avondale, next in Goodyear, and finally in Litchfield Park. She was a devoted wife and mother, who possessed amazing talents as an artist, musician, and seamstress. She spent her working career at Goldwater’s, Luke Air Force Base, Avondale School, and First National Bank of Arizona (now Wells Fargo Bank). Connie was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Avondale and most recently a member of The Church at Litchfield Park. For the last 15 years, she volunteered at the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank in Avondale. Connie was preceded in death by her husband Jim and is survived by her son Chuck Coe (Janet); her daughters Stephanie Richmond (Doug) and Christina Thompson (Ronnie); grandchildren Steven, Brian, Jason, Amy (Lucas), and Sara; and great grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah and Kinsey. A memorial service will be celebrated at The Church at Litchfield Park, 10 AM, Saturday, February 9, 2013, 300 N. Old Litchfield Rd., Litchfield Park, AZ.
