DANIELS, Leonard Elvin

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, February 08, 2013 Leonard Elvin Daniels, 94, died Jan. 29, 2013. Mr. Daniels was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Panola County, Texas. He moved to Arizona in December 1940. He served in the Army Air Corps as an aviation mechanic for the Eighth Air Force-100th Bomb Group during World War II. After the war, he moved to California, returning to Arizona in 1992. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 61 in Avondale. A memorial celebration will be at noon Feb. 16 at the American Legion Post 61, 35 N. Eighth St. in Avondale.
