Bobbye Lou Wood, 81 of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 surrounded by her husband and four daughters.
She was born August 21, 1931 in Clayton, New Mexico, the daughter of Robert F. and Maggie B Hefley. On march 18, 1951 she married Don R. Wood.
Bobbye is also survived by her daughters Donna (Rob) Winter, Deanna (Randy) Chillion, D’Lisa (John) Johnston, and Debbie (Stu) Milam; grandchildren Lindsey, Matthew, Shelby, Barbara, Tiffany, Melissa, D’Lexis, D’Laney, Benjamin, and Jacob; brother Bud (Kay) Hefley and sister, Sue Persons.
She grew up in Texline, Texas, raised her family in Clayton, Hobbs, and Alamogordo, New Mexico and retired in Tucson, Arizona where she has resided the past 20 years.
Bobbye enjoyed painting, etching, and stained glass. She was an accomplished seamstress and an excellent cook. Throughout her life she devoted many hours volunteering for various organizations dear to her.
