Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Elaine M. Ness- Sternberg July 4, 1923 - January 11, 2013 Elaine M. Ness-Sternberg, 89 years old of Oro Valley, AZ, passed away January 11, 2013. Elaine was born July 4, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Wilbur and Margaret Moore. She spent her life in Chicago, New York, Sarasota, FL before retiring to Oro Valley, AZ. Elaine loved golf, hand and foot canasta, bridge, bunko, and traveling. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, active in the Singles Club in Sun City, and attended Cass Adobes Congregational Church. Loving mother of Arlene (Ron) Grant, Don Ness, and Len (Stephanie) Ness; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 2; sister of Will Moore; and sister-in-law of Juanita Moore. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband’s Olaf Ness and Ralph Sternberg and her brother’s Lloyd “Spud” Moore, Robert Moore, and Raymond Moore. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00am at Vistoso Funeral Home, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd, Oro Valley. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Norridge, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Casas Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704 or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
