Mildred Alice Seanor Grumbling, 102, of Goodyear died Jan. 18, 2013, in Sun City.
Mrs. Grumbling was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Indiana County, Pa., to Beryl L. and Ethyl M. Seanor.
She earned a normal school diploma in 1930 from Indiana State Teachers College to teach elementary education.
While in college, she met her future husband, H. Virgil Grumbling.
They were married Aug. 12, 1932. They moved to Sun City in 1970. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Sun City, the Agua Fria Chapter of DAR, the BW Chapter of P.E.O. and the Marinette Chapter of Questers.
She is survived by one son, H. Virgil Grumbling Jr.; one daughter, Susan C. Samonsky; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Sun Valley Lodge, 12415 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City.
