Richard W Bull, 82, of Blair died Tuesday, Feb 8, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
He was born Feb 25, 1922, in Omaha to Frederick aand Kathryn (Koch) Bull. He graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1939. He was a World War II veteran. After the war, he married Verna Kruse on Aug 30, 1946, in Benson. He worked for Rolfs Trucking, Louis Market in Benson, Matt O'Donnell Meat Market in Benson, Elkhorn Feed Mill, then farmed in the Valley area until moving north of Blair in 1955. He farmed there until 1967, then worked for Kelly Ryan, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Grange, Blair Eagles, life member of Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Club, Herman American Legion and Waterloo Masonic Lodge 102 AF & AM.
Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Catherine (Mrs John) Bourne of Omaha; two sons, Keith Bull (and friend, Andrea Madsen) of Blair and Kirk (and wife, Velda) Bull of Black Canyon City, Ariz; a sister, Adelyne Backhaus; a brother, Frederick (and wife, Rogene) Bull; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bull and Teresa Kruse; brother-in-law, Mylan (and wife, Corrine) Kruse; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son.
The funeral will be 10:30am Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will begin at 9am Friday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. A Masonic service conducted by the Waterloo Lodge 102 AF & AM will be 7pm Friday in the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at St Francis Borgia Catholic Church, 2005 Davis St, following military graveside services in Blair Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to First Lutheran Church and the Alzheimer's Research Association.
