Patricia (Pat) Lash, 89, passed away on Feb. 5, 2013, at her home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Jan. 7, 1924, in Alhambra, Calif., to James and Gladys (Bollon) Lannan.
Pat was a loving mother, teacher and librarian; guiding and helping children were her life's work. She taught third grade at Miller Valley School in the early 1960s and then at Taylor Hicks when it opened. She later moved to Lompoc, Calif., where she served as Children's Librarian at the city library. She had a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She returned home to Prescott in 2000, with her son.
Pat is survived by her son Eric Lash of Prescott; daughter Barbara (Michael) Flynn of Crosslake, Minn.; and grandsons, Ryan, Sean and Daniel Flynn of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Lash (Ltc. USAF Ret.).
She was a joy to all. She will be sorely missed, but we know she is in a better place now.
