Toda's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, February 13, 2013 - William Joe Tunnell passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at his residence with his family by his side. Billy was born June 13, 1930 in Tulia, Texas to Joe Henry and Florence Virginia (Richardson) Tunnell. Billy and his wife Wanda moved to Parker, 33 years ago from Glendora, Calif. where he worked as a painting contractor. Billy enjoyed fishing, hunting and off-roading. He was a member of the N.R.A and past member of the Parker 4-Wheelers. Billy is survived by his son, Larry Tunnell and wife, Linda, of Parker; daughters, Linda Armstrong and husband, David, of Victorville, Calif. and Joanne Houck and husband Tom, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Georgia Dodson, of Phoenix; grandchildren, Larry Tunnell, Missi Tunnell, Jesse Burgett, Dave Armstrong, Karie Elliott, Tasha Armstrong, Logan Armstrong, Isiah Armstrong, Faith Armstrong, Bill Houck and Kevin Houck; and great-grandchildren, Michael Dyer, Diego Castro, Hayden Gilbert, Blake Gilbert, J.T. Cavender, Dylen Elliott, Christian Armstrong and Adeline Houck. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Wanda, who passed away Oct. 8, 2010. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at 5 p.m. at The Grace Assembly of God Church 1821 S. Navajo Ave in Parker. Pastor George Rennau will offer words of comfort and inspiration. In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy’s name may be made to the Grace Assembly of God Church or Hospice of Havasu 365 S. Lake Havasu Ave. Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
