Vernon Hooke, Jr. “Vernon Boy” was born July 18, 1978 in Oakland, California to the late Sarah and Vernon Hooke, Sr. Vernon Boy lived in Oakland, CA until the age of three. He moved to Phoenix, AZ with his parents along with his late brother. That’s when we all remember him with his long beautiful hair that his parents were proud of.
In Phoenix he attended Day Care Center while both of his parents worked. When Vernon Boy became of age for school, he attended various elementary schools in Phoenix and Mesa. His high school year he went to San Carlos High and Globe High School.
Vernon Boy became a father to two daughter; Faybrieanna and Cameron.
Years later he met Crystal and they were married and had two sons Faybian and Angel and three daughters; Angelina, Brieanna, and Heaven. Vernon Boy was employed with the Tire Retreading, Pinto Valley Mine, as a carpenter for Dream Pole Construction, Hooke Roofing and Residential Construction, as a carpenter for San Carlos Apache Housing Authority and the Safford Mine.
We all remember Vernon Boy as an animal lover from the friendliest such as Chihuahuas to the meanest Pitbulls. He so much adored his Pitbulls and made sure they were well cared for. Vernon Boy enjoyed spending time with his children. He made sure his children had toys they enjoyed playing with. He also enjoyed watching them grow and having cookouts with them.
Vernon is survived by his wife Crystal Hooke, his five daughters; Faybrieanna Hooke, Cameron Rope, Angelina Hooke, Heaven Hooke, his two sons; Faybian and Angel Hooke.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon Hooke, Sr. and Sarah (Chatlin) Hooke and his brother Brian Dawson.
Funeral Services will be held Fri. February 15, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Vernon Hooke's Residence in San Carlos, AZ

Wake was on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Vernon Hooke, Jr,'s residence in San Carlos, Ariz. Funeral Services were held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Vernon Hooke, Jr.'s residence. Interment was at Upper Peridot Cemetery in, Peridot, Ariz.
