Ila Worrell Morris, 92, of Prescott Valley, went peacefully back home to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 10, 2013, at home with her daughter and son in-law where she has lived for the past 7 years.
Ila is survived by her son Ross Morris (Alice Faye) and her daughter LeOra Budin (Robert), and her devoted sister Virginia Vaughan. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren Lacey Husemann (Joshus), Alicia Ward (Brian), Wendi Smith (Lane), Nyree Morris, Ryan Puckett (Bonny), Joshua Fuller (Jodi), Robert Budin lll (Amy), Emily Squire (Kelly), and Amber Fuller. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren: Cory, Amanda, Ashley, Garrett, Kelsey, Christian, Kara, Carl, Morgan, Brendon, Andrew, Sara Rose, Zeke, LilyAnn, Akasha, Jayden, Noah, Audrey, Lauren, Skyler, Cale and Bryce; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Darwin (Dick) Morris, mother Marie Elizabeth (Bird) Worrell, father Jeremiah Joseph Worrell, a brother Leo Legrand Worrell, and her sisters Margaret Jerry Palmer, Elva Eddie Woodvine, Louella Dutch Rammell, and Leola Beddes.
Ila was born on October 10, 1920, in St. Anthony, Idaho where she grew up. She married the love of her life on January 13, 1944 in Ogden, Utah. They moved to Billings, Montana to raise their family and work in their family-owned neighborhood grocery store. Due to her husband’s illness they moved to Tacoma, Washington and then on to Mesa, Arizona. After the death of her husband she moved to Phelan, CA to live next door to her sister Virginia. She came to live with her daughter's family in Prescott Valley in 2004 where she made many more dear friends. She never knew a stranger.
There will be a viewing in the Relief Society room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints new Stake Center at Pronghorn Ranch and Viewpoint in Prescott Valley at 9 a.m., with the funeral held in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery on Apache Trail in Mesa, Arizona.
The family wishes to thank Home Instead Senior Care for their sweet, loving and kind care of mother, especially Verlene and Linda. Also, our thanks go to Susan J. Rheem Adult Care Center.
