VALLENARI, Frank J.


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona, Thursday, February 14, 2013 Frank J. Vallenari 1926 - 2013 Frank J. Vallenari, 86 of Sedona passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Frank was born on June 22, 1926, in Corona, CA, to Gioachino and Paulina (Montanari) Vallenari. He attended Corona Elementary and High School before attending Chaffee Jr. College and earning his BA at San Jose State. Frank served his country as a tail gunner in the Army/Air Force during WWII, eventually achieving the rank of Captain in the Air Force Reserves with a total of 19 years of service. After working for the City of Riverside for 9 years, the majority of his business career was in Utility Product Sales for A. B. Chance. Frank was a member of Melody Men’s Chorus and an active member of the Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading, fishing, singing and his family. He is remembered as saying “I believe that the most important things in life are God and family.” Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret of Sedona; his son, Michael (Alison) of Redondo Beach, CA; His daughters, Paula (John) of Scottsdale, AZ, Julianne (Chris) of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Teresa of Sedona; his brother, Joseph (Genevieve) of Roseville, CA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held February 7th at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church followed by interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ Phoenix.
