Enid Young Baker, 94, of Litchfield Park died Jan. 28, 2013, in Goodyear. Mrs. Baker was born June 28, 1918, in Corinth, Miss., to Hubert Farris Young and Turner Pride.
She lived in Washington, D.C., before moving to Scarsdale, N.Y. She graduated from Scarsdale High School in 1936. After attending Duke University, she married George S. Baker and moved to Rochester, Minn., where she owned K&K Realty with her sister. In 1978, they moved to Litchfield Park and she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Baker; and one son, Robert Bruce Baker of Litchfield Park.
She is survived by one son, George Baker Jr. of Bozeman, Mont.; one daughter, Turner Broll of Wilmington, Del, and Litchfield Park; and one sister, Eugenia Young Bacon of Fort Meyers, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Burial was private at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were made by Sunland Funeral Home.
