After a year long struggle against Leukemia, Suzanne Leslie Jones-Hayworth succumbed to the disease and died February 13, at the age of 66. Suzie, as she was better known, moved to Lake Havasu City at the age of 18 with her father Albert "Bud" Anderson and mother Florence Anderson. She loved boating, water skiing, fishing and living in Havasu.
Suzie earned her General Building Contractor's license in the 1980s, built a small house in town and later in life worked as a real estate agent. Suzie was known for her fun loving personality and giving spirit. Suzie aspired to live her life as a "free bird", she used to say. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to the Christian faith.
She leaves behind a loving husband, Richard Hayworth; her sons, Scott and Matt and their wives; and her grandchildren. She was unique and special. We love her very much. There wasn't anyone quite like her and she will be missed tremendously.
