Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, February 14, 2013 >> Charles McCoy James << >> June 16, 1951— Feb. 11, 2013 << Charles McCoy James, 61, of Arizona, formerly of the Quad Cities, died Monday, Feb. 11, at the Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord, Mich. Local memorial services will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to his family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Charles was born June 16, 1951, in Moline, Ill., the son of McCoy L. and Betty A. (Garner) James. He married Mary Cannon on May 16, 1992 in Park View, Iowa. Charles worked as a Case IH Benefits Representative for UAW. He was very active in Case Bettendorf Local 858 and the United Way of the Quad Cities. Together, he and Mary retired in 2004 and moved to Lake Havasu City, where they owned Tanning Bare Salon. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cannon-James, of Lake Havasu City; son, Chad James, of Silvis, Ill.; daughter, Christy Hahn, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; step-son, Doug Cannon, of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Scott (Regina) James, of Port Byron, Ill. and Jeff James, of St. Louis, Okla.
