John H. Harmon
(October 19, 1925 - February 16, 2013)
John H. “Tudor” Harmon passed away on February 16,2013 after a courageous battle with heart disease. He was surrounded by family members at Summit Healthcare in Show Low, AZ.
John was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona to John H. Harmon and Jesse Harmon on October 19, 1925.
John is survived by his loving Wife of 65 years, Lorraine G. Harmon, his Son John H. Harmon age 62 of Phoenix, Arizona and his Sister Marie Harmon DeWitt.
He was preceded in death by his youngest Son, Rodney L. Harmon.
He was also Grandpa to Valerie Kheene and Great Grandpa to Ryan and Shelby Kheene.
At 17 years old John joined the Navy for 3 years and served in World War II. He attended Barber College in 1920, after which he bought and ran his own Barber Shop located in Sunnyslope, Arizona for 20 years. John also belonged to the VFW Post #9400 while living there. John and his wife relocated to Ketchikan, Alaska for 16 years, where he worked in construction and owned his own glass shop.
John and his wife then retired and relocated to Show Low, Arizona in 1993. Tudor’s sense of humor and contagious laugh would always brighten anyone’s day. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and friends and will always be in their hearts.
