Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 Jean Palmer passed away on Monday, Feb. 18 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont. She was 78 years old. Jean is survived by her five children and their families: Bill Palmer, married to Miriam, and their son Travis (Atlanta, Ga.); Terry Palmer, married to Lois, and their daughters Susan and Lindsey and their son Jr. (Atlanta, Ga.); Becky Snider, married to Ed, and their sons Dennis and Don Holley (Laurel, Mont.); Jeannie Falconer, married to Douglas, (Joliet, Mont.); and Dennis Palmer, married to Nadine, and his son Dennis and daughter Trista (Globe, Ariz). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Jean was born in Earlsboro, Okla. on July 4, 1934. She married Troy Palmer on May 7, 1948 (Troy passed away in 2006). In June of 1957, they moved from Oklahoma to Globe, Ariz. Troy was employed by Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company for 33 years. Jean worked many years for the Gila County Sheriff’s Reserve. She also worked as a waitress for Apache Land, Globe Café, and Fay’s Café. In June of 2008, Jean moved to Montana to be near her daughters. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
