1930 - 2013
Von Eugene Brady age 83 passed Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at his loving daughters home with family at his side.
Von was born in Imboden, Arkansas and moved to Glendale, Arizona in 1940.
He fought polio his whole life but never let it win. There was nothing he couldn’t achieve. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Reuter Equipment in Phoenix and a great musician and singer.
He sang yearly at the Friends of Marty Robbins tribute in Glendale, AZ. and at many venues and special events in the Verde Valley.
In 1968 he moved to Camp Verde. He and his wife were some of the first to settle at the end of Middle Verde Road, building, selling and renting homes.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Carol, father, Eli Bellamy Brady and mother, Winnie Udell Brady. He was loved by all his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son Terry Eugene Brady and wife Isabel. Daughter Belinda C. Craig, and husband Steve Craig, son Douglas Von Brady and MaryAnn, and son Brian Keith Brady and wife Trish with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Brother Charles Brady and Sisters, Mary Hamm, Maudine Fellars and Annie Richardson, and numerous other relatives.
A celebration of life will be held March 2, 2013, 10 a.m. at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarenes, 644 S. 7th St., Camp Verde, AZ. 86322. Phone: 928-567-6568.
