James R. Tift, 66, of Prescott, Ariz., born Aug. 9, 1946, in Los Angeles, Calif., died unexpectedly Dec. 19, 2012, in Phoenix from acute illness. 

Jim owned and operated Sunrise Financial Inc. for more than 30 years. 

A memorial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley.
