Leslie Gross, 91, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born July 5, 1921, in New York, N.Y., passed away Feb. 20, 2013, in Prescott, Ariz.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 25, 2013, at Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley, Ariz.

A true American patriot, Leslie Gross was born July 5, 1921 in New York City, New York; the son of Ralph and Rose (Rubin) Gross. He died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott, Arizona. Leslie was 91 years old.
He joined the United States Navy and was a proud WWII veteran who served in the Pacific. He also witnessed the “Enola Gay” take off on its secret mission, the first atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan.
Leslie followed the sun and ended up settling in Arizona in 1989. He served on the Prescott Valley Planning and Study Committee and the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Leslie enjoyed music, traveling, U.S. history, was an avid baseball fan, coach, and respected umpire. He was a life member of the V.F.W. post 10227 in Prescott Valley, a loving husband to Florence and father to his son Ronald and daughter Audrey. Leslie was very proud of his grandchildren Robert, Jeffrey, Daniel and Laura.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, corner of Navajo and Valley Rd. in Prescott Valley.
