The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/26/2013 K. Tom Porter, 85, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in Chandler. He was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Samuel Henry Porter and Audrey Scott Hamilton Porter. K. Tom served his country in the United States Army from 1948-60. He worked as a human resource manager for International Harvester, retiring in 1994. K. Tom loved genealogy, reading and missionary work. He loved to laugh and spend time with his friends. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Samuel Porter, Karl Williams and sister Harriett Murff. Funeral services were held Feb. 22, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Galveston Stake Center in Chandler. Interment was held Feb. 23, at Eagar Cemetery.
