Ernest James Houck, 72 of Cottonwood, passed away on February 23, 2013. He was born on February 16, 1942 in Minatare, Nebraska to Archie Houck and Catherine Kickbush.
Ernest attended Clairemont High in San Diego, CA. He served his country in the Air Force as an Airman during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed in Construction but was disabled during the last 3o years. He worked for 15 years at the Goodwill Store in Cottonwood.
Ernest enjoyed reading, walking and making people laugh. “Life is just a giggle and go” is what he shared with everyone. His gentle soul never said an unkind word.
Ernest is survived by brothers Lonny Houck of Hemet, CA and Bill Kickbush of Chesapeake, VA and sister Linda Smith (Richard) of Cottonwood.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2 p.m. at Dead Horse State Park in Cottonwood.
