CAPARO, Frank Charles


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, March 3, 2013 - Frank Charles Caparo, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 28, 1922 in Weehawken, N.J. to Vincent and Margherita (Miceli) Caparo. Frank served his country in the US Navy in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married his wife, Clara, January 6, 1946 at St. Thomas of Aquinas Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. Frank worked for Grumman Aircraft in Bethpage, N.Y. for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He and Clara moved to Lake Havasu City 26 years ago, coming from Merrick, N.Y., where they lived for 37 years. Frank and Clara just celebrated 67 years of marriage on Jan. 6, 2013. Frank will be deeply missed and always loved. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Clara Rose (Daidone) Caparo; sons, Steven and Vincent Caparo; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) McHale; great grandchildren, Grace and Tyler McHale and sister, Grace Marmo. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers, Philip and Salvatore and sisters, Gay and Joyce. Graveside service and Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens with the Marine Corps League Chaplain officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Marine Corps League. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul, 1850 Commander Dr., LHC, AZ 86403.
