Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation and viewing to be held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., in Scottsdale on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Kuhfuss, Anne B., passed away peacefully on February 26, 2013 at Hospice of the Valley's Surprise Palliative Care Unit at the age of 83. She was born on July 13, 1929 in Albuquerque, NM to Annette and Carl Burcham. She married Bob Kuhfuss in 1957 and moved to Phoenix. They had one son (Rob) and settled in Scottsdale. She moved to Sun City in 2008 and to Sterling House of Peoria in 2010. Anne was a gifted pianist and artist. She is remembered for her love of cats and her many kitty collectables. Anne kept an amazing collection of family heirlooms and memorabilia, and was a devout Christian. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, and her sister Mildred. She is survived by her sister Jane Smith of Albuquerque, NM; her son Rob (LuAnn) Kuhfuss of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren Keri (Steve) Tillman and Ryan (Sarah) Pepper of Surprise, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Anne's family wishes to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Sterling House of Peoria and Hospice of the Valley who gave so much of themselves caring for her.
